Where can I park?
Parking can be found in the Pedernales Electric Co-op parking lots (201 S. Ave. F), LBJ High School (505 N. Nugent Ave.), around the courthouse square, and in parking spaces streetside on those streets surrounding the courthouse, and on Main St. (US Hwy 290).
Where are the restrooms?
Memorial Park has restrooms and port-o-potties will be available for use. Be aware that most businesses do not have public restrooms and that restaurants will only allow patrons who are dining in their facility to use their restrooms.
Where can I eat?
Johnson City has several restaurants. Several are within walking distance of the courthouse and the others are just a short drive away.

Where do I go to catch the hayrides or carriage rides?
No hayrides or carriage rides this year. You can drive around town on the tour route and see all the beauty of Lights Spectacular from the comfort and safety of your own vehicle.
What are the dates for Lights Spectacular?
Lights Spectacular starts on Nov. 27, 2020 and runs through Jan. 3, 2021.

How do I enter the Lighted Hooves and Wheels Parade?
Due to city, county and state restrictions, we are unable to have our parade this year. It is truly a spectacular event, so don't miss it next year.
How do I volunteer?
We only need a few volunteers this year due to social distancing and limited events. Check back with us next year to spend some time with a great group of elves!
On what date is the Lighted Hooves and Wheels Parade, at what time does the parade start, and where should I stand to watch?
We will not be having a parade this year. Do drive around town and look at all the beautiful lights. Make sure to see the courthouse and the PEC complex.
Can I donate to or become a sponsor of Lights Spectacular?
Yes. You can donate by clicking on the "donate" button located at the bottom of each page of the website. Also, donation buckets will be located in several areas throughout Johnson City.
Where can I stay?
Johnson City has two hotels and many B&Bs, AirBnBs, and VRBOs. Please visit the Chamber of Commerce website for more information regarding lodging.
Who can participate in the residential and business lighting contest, what are the rules, and how do I sign up?
See Events page for an application. The contest is open to all persons within ½ mile of the city limits of Johnson City. Recognition will be given for the best decorated residences and commercial buildings. Entry forms should be turned in no later than December 14, 2020.
