Hayrides & Carriage Rides - Every Weekend beginning Nov. 26  - Sunday Jan 2 - Throughout the festival (weather permitting), visitors can hitch a ride on a tractor-pulled hayride offered by the Johnson City Antique Tractor and Engine Club (by donation) or hire a horse-drawn carriage by the Buggy Barn Museum.   If you have a large group, call 830-833-5708 or ​210-862-1132 - Dennis Moore (owner) - buggybarnmuseum@gmail.com

PEC Headquarters Lights - Friday, Nov. 26 -Sunday Jan. 2 - The Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) will illuminate its Johnson City Headquarters again this year. More than 1.3 million LED bulbs will light up PEC’s campus during the holidays. The lights will shine from 6 p.m. to Midnight every night through Sunday, Jan. 2.  Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the lights from the safety of their vehicle.  Otherwise, visitors will be asked to abide by any COVID-19 orders issued by local and state authorities. Orders may include requirements as to the numbers of people gathering, social distancing and face coverings. In-person visits to the lights at PEC Headquarters are at the visitor’s own risk.  

Weekend of Friday December 3 & Saturday December 4

Santa and Mrs. Claus  -  Every Friday and Saturday starting December 3rd - December 18th, from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. -  Santa will be at the Memorial Park gazebo for free photo opportunities. The park is located at the corner of US 290 and Avenue G in Johnson City.  These visits with Santa will be "Covid-friendly" meaning we will have a bench for the children to sit on and visit with Santa and then stand beside him for photos.  No sitting on his lap this year!

Live Nativity Scene - Friday Dec. 3 & Sat, Dec. 4 -  The First United Methodist Church recreates the nativity in a live performance beginning at 6:30 - every 30 minutes.  105 N. LBJ Drive in JC.  Rain or Shine!

The Blanco County Community Choir - Friday - Dec 3 - The Blanco County Community Choir will continue the tradition of presenting Christmas concert for the community in Johnson City.  On December 3, the Choir will be performing at the Community Church of the Hills at 8:00pm.   Please join them for some beautiful Christmas music.

Lamplight Tours at LBJ Boyhood Home -Saturday, Dec 4 - Lamplight Tours at LBJ Boyhood Home will be conducted from 6-9 pm.  These tours are free but you will be required to wear a mask as this is Federal Park Property.  Please come experience these unique tours of LBJ's Boyhood Home.

The Blanco County Community Choir Sunday, Dec 5 - The Blanco County Community Choir will be presenting a Christmas concert for the community in Blanco on December 5 at First Baptist Church in Blanco at 7:00 pm.  Please join them for some beautiful Christmas music.

SANTA LETTER EXPRESS:

 

There will be a large red lighted box under the gazebo in Memorial Park.  It  will be accepting letters to the North Pole for all those kids that will not be able to visit Santa face to face this year.  If a return address is included on the letter, the elves will make sure to send back a certificate from the North Pole validating that the letter has been received!  The Santa Letter Express will accept letters through Sunday, December 19th.
